Troubleshooting February 29th (Leap Year) Birthdays

How to handle birthdays on February 29th in Birthday Reminder Widget.

Birthday Reminder Widget has a known issue with registering birthdays on February 29th. When entering this date, the app may display an error and automatically change the date to March 1st.

Workarounds

Until the fix is released, you can use one of these workarounds:

Option 1: Use a Leap Year in the Date Picker

When entering the birth year, make sure to select a leap year (e.g., 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024). This allows February 29th to appear as a valid date in the picker.

Option 2: Register on a Nearby Date with a Note

  1. Set the birthday to February 28th or March 1st.

  2. Add a note to the entry: "Actual birthday is February 29th."

This way you'll still receive a reminder at the right time.

Status

This issue has been escalated to the development team for a permanent fix. We'll update the app as soon as the correction is available.
